Critical environment recovery & synchronisation
Stabilised multi-database operations
Root-cause analysis and recovery for a non-functional research environment after database and utility changes broke synchronisation across systems.
Context & constraint
The environment became non-functional after connection and database integration issues. Synchronisation into a unified database from multiple source systems had stopped, and a new utility for buffered data import required deep analysis across applications, servers, and databases.
What we did
We performed cross-layer RCA, implemented corrective actions carefully across installations, restored synchronisation between systems, reassessed SQL setups, secured full backups, and provisioned fresh Windows and Linux servers for a clean implementation path.
Results
- Environment restored with a documented recovery plan
- Synchronisation strategy restabilised across source systems
- Infrastructure upgrade and migration plan delivered
